The Cable Modem converts the upstream digital signal (IP) into an analog radio frequency signal (RF) for transmission, while the downstream converts the analog radio frequency signal (RF) into a digital signal (IP) for reception. ADSL: Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line, commonly known as E-Cat, is an access method adopted by early operators. It uses frequency division technology and the transmission medium is telephone line. It separates low-frequency signals and high-frequency signals transmitted by ordinary telephone lines. It is a high-speed data transmission technology on ordinary telephone lines. Unable to meet the demand for high-speed network access and high cost, it is gradually being replaced by PON technology.
